Jakarta, CNN Indonesia -- Gunung sampah di Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA) Ghazipur, New Delhi, tak lama lagi akan mencetak rekor baru. Ketinggian tumpukan sampah di tempat itu akan menyusul Taj Mahal. Elang dan sejumlah burung lainnya terbang sesuka hati di sekitar TPA yang berada di timur New Delhi tersebut. Di daratan gunung sampah itu, anjing dan sapi liar menjelajah bersama tikus mengais makanan sembari ditemani asap dan bau busuk. Memiliki luasan lebih dari 40 lapangan sepak bola, TPA Ghazipur diketahui bertambah tinggi hampir 10 meter setiap tahun. Angka itu belum menunjukkan tanda-tanda akan berakhir seiring dengan sampah dari ibu kota yang terus berdatangan. Menurut teknisi pengawas Delhi Timur, Arun Kumar, saat ini gunung sampah tersebut sudah melewati ketinggian 62 meter.
